The statements below were gathered by the Power DJ's over the years from individuals that hired poor quality DJ's. Unfortunately, their mistakes were avoidable... they got exactly what they paid for…

"We hired our DJ and paid him but he never showed up!" MORAL TO THE STORY: These people hired a "friend of a friend" with no contract. But, they got a great deal! They saved over $250!
"The DJ was late for our party!"
MORAL TO THE STORY: Nothing is going to 'make' a DJ show up on time, or any other service provider for that matter. However, hiring a company with a long standing reputation will be your best bet against having a DJ show up late.

"We heard a slick sales pitch over the telephone. The person on the phone was real friendly and laughed a lot. But when we got to our wedding reception he talked weird on the mic and copped an attitude towards our guests."
MORAL TO THE STORY: It turns out they thought they got a bargain...they paid $100 less than what professional DJ's were charging.

"No one could dance...he [the DJ] played all the wrong music. Several of our guests came up to me and complained" MORAL TO THE STORY: All DJ's are not the same! Lots of DJ's can play music, but very few have the knowledge to play the right music for your event. Sometimes you can hire an inexperienced amateur DJ for the same price as a professional DJ.

"His music library was horrible and he didn't play anything we wanted. He said he played CD's but he used mostly tapes and records. His equipment was the worse I've ever heard."
MORAL TO THE STORY: This DJ was hired because his price was $250 for all night long.

The equipment they (DJ's) used looked like junk along the road after a garage sale. I was SO embarrassed...we rented a beautiful hall… decorated it, and then the DJ brings in this beat-up equipment. I covered their speakers with a tablecloth.”
MORAL TO THE STORY: They saved $200 on this DJ company.
